Organized by Végéphyl – the French Association of Plant Protection - a conference on boxwood pests will be held on the 16th and 17th October 2018 (2 days) at the University of Tours (France). Exact place is Auditorium Thélème -60 rue de Plat d’Etain, 37000 Tours.
Pests regarding boxwood can constitute global economic risks as they can attack this plant both in landscapes and in forests where it grows naturally.
A focus will be carried out on 3 main topics :
- Introduction with a global issue regarding sanitary problems for boxwood
- Synthesis of knowledge acquired against the two main pests of boxwood (pyralid moth) and blight diseases
- Current situation and description of pest control in the future
