In Canada today Thanksgiving is celebrated, and what could be better on an official holiday than looking at a bunch of photos? That's what we thought, so today we bring you the recap of the Canadian Greenhouse Conference.
The annual event takes place in Niagara Falls and is one of the biggest events for the North American market. This year was no different. With the current investments in the horticultural industry, suppliers take their time to share information on their products, and growers / investors take the time to optimize their company.
It can be seen in the industry as a whole that this knowledge is valued more - also in terms of money. With labour & energy costs rising, a better thought through business plan pays off, and consultants and advisors can play an important role in this.
And of course there's cannabis. With only a couple of days left before the product will be legalized, the investments are ongoing and a rough time is expected for the new market. With insecurity about the outlets, the cost price and the required acreage, there's a lot of things that needed to be straightened out within the next couple of months. At the moment though, almost all growers and suppliers benefit from the legalization: prices are higher, competitors switch to cannabis cultivation and suppliers refit or expand their acreage.
Before we update you with more trends and developments, let's take a look at the photos first.
