Super Purple Sinuatum Limonium wins golden medal

“The patented way Colombian grower La Plazoleta grows brings the best in its genetics. Their variety Super Purple Sinuatum Limonium shined in Russia", says Lourdes Reyes BallSB marketing Director. At the Russia Flower Show held last month in Moscow the purple Limonium won the golden medal in the flower quality competition with the “Perfection Flowers”.

Increasing demand
The Limonium Sinuatum Super Purple is bred by the Miyoshi Company and was introduced by Ball SB some years ago. Since then, every year its demand has increased. The variety is sold in solid bunches and is very desirable in the bouquet business. Colombia, Mexico, Spain, and now Kenya are some of the countries that are producing Super Purple.

Proud
Limonium Super Purple also won the highest Quality prize at the last Proflora Show in Bogota. “This Limonium is so special because it not only gives a high quality stem, it is also more resistant to diseases and it has an unique solid dark purple color, hence the name”, says Lourdes. “We want to congratulate La Plazoleta Flowers, who patented their way of growing by the name Perfection, again for their great achievement.”
