CO2 supply to greenhouse horticulture

Gas fusion Linde and Praxair greenlighted

The American Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has approved the fusion between Linde and Praxair, two producers of industrial gasses. The American Praxair is taking over Linde for about 33.9 billion euro. Linde supplies CO2 to greenhouse horticultural companies.

The fusion company will become the largest supplier of industrial gasses in the world. The companies do have to let a number of subsidiaries in the United States go, because according to the FTC an unfair market situation would arise. The produced gasses are applied in cooling installations and when packaging food.
