NL: Zyon Group joins Floral Trade Group

Zyon Group is joining Floral Trade Group from January 1 2019. The cooperation with the export company fits Floral Trade Group´s ambitions for the future. General director Wim van der Plas: "This development is in line with Floral Trade Group's strategy for 2020, in which it is determined we want to grow stronger in retail."

In the Netherlands, Zyon Group has branches in the Westland, Aalsmeer, and also has subsidiary companies DJ-Florals and Zyon Hungary KFT. Zyon Group has been specialized for more than 40 years in the sale of flowers, plants, and gift ware to retail chains in the higher segment in Europe. They help retailers to build up and exploit a successful flower and plant category.

Martijn van Noort is joining Zyon Group's management team from January 1, 2019. He combines this function with management tasks at Floral Trade Group. "I am impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the employees of Zyon Group. Their customers are important retailers in Europe, with which they have a successful strategic partnership for many years. This matches the identity and way of working of Floral Trade Group."

Leon Eijgenraam, founder of Zyon Group, is happy with the new course. "We have chosen for Floral Trade Group, because this company helps us support our quick expansion in the areas of IT, HR, Marketing, Operations, and Logistics. Floral Trade Group offers us, through its subsidiary companies, the possibility to offer a broader assortment of ornamental growth products to the customers. All employees of Zyon Group have been warmly welcomed to Floral Trade Group. Zyon Group will continue as a separate company within Floral Trade Group.
