After 12 years with the German breeding company Selecta One working as director for marketing and product management, Richard Petri has founded his own communication and sales agency – RiPlant AG. He runs the operational business together with media partners.
Petri: “Our aim is to develop together with our customers user centered market concepts for plants. It is expressed in our company's claim ‘Plants for People’. Our clients are breeders, growers but also lobby groups from the garden market which have interest in achieving a better market penetration with their products.”
Proof-of-concept is the market performance of Pink Kisses, a mini pot carnation, which has undergone brand and sales development under Petri's lead in a rather static European consumer market for plants.
“Of course, it is relevant that products are not purely generic and easy to replace” explains Petri, “but at the same time it is also crucial to invest into company/product communication. RiPlant AG has substantial capacities and long-term experience to be successful with their customers.”
