On Tuesday 8 January 2019, Veiling Rhein-Maas organised the eighth consecutive customers and suppliers day. About 450 guests attended the event on the topic ‘Marketing for the green industry in the digital age’ - even more than last year.
Review 2018 and outlook 2019
After being welcomed in the foyer of the auction with a hot drink, the guests took their seats in the auction room where the first part of the event took place. Franz-Willi Honnen and Cees Hoekstra, managing directors of Veiling Rhein-Maas, opened the event together and gave an outlook on upcoming tasks, activities and projects in 2019 as well as a retrospective of the year 2018. Afterwards, this year’s guest speaker Collin Croome, expert in digital marketing, gave an inspiring keynote related to the topic of the event.
Marketing for the green industry
During the second part of the event, the following external exhibitors presented themselves on the subject of ‘Marketing for the green industry in the digital age’ in hall I: Blumen - 1000 gute Gründe, The Flower Council of Holland, Floramedia, Landgard Floristry, Landgard Quality Management, Merulin and Landgard Gardening Supplies. Veiling Rhein-Maas also provided information on Logistics, Quality control, Clock Service, product images and the upcoming web shop on several fair stands. In addition, products of the auction’s suppliers were staged and the next edition of the trend exhibition ‘Rhein-Maas Next: wedding dreams’, which will open on 13 March 2019 in the foyer of the auction, was announced.
