Saduk Usluer, ProCC:

"Work and crop registration system almost plug-and-play"

A labor and crop registration system that works not only for large companies, but also for small-scale growers of 1 hectare or less. With this product ProCC started out last year and now the company has dozens of customers at home and abroad. Sadik Usluer: "Every grower wants to see what's going on, and it's important to us that any grower regardless of their acreage can purchase good software."

Jeffrey van Uunen and Sadik Usluer with ProCC during Horticontact 2018.

New customers
ProCC has been around for three years. The first two years consisted of extensive testing at two companies. In February 2018, the young company was ready to enter the market. Founders Sadik, Jeffrey and Danny presented themselves at the HortiContact in Gorinchem, and in the months that followed, customers came out of the woodwork and the workforce was expanded.

Almost plug and play
In the north of the Netherlands, ProCC installed the system at a tomato grower who grows various snack vegetables on 30 hectares. "We always need extra greenhouse space, so we rent extra square meters at different locations. For us it's a great solution that the labor and cultivation registration system can be used at temporary locations. It's almost plug and play." A cucumber grower from IJsselmuiden purchased the system for his 10 hectares of greenhouses. He talks about the low investment costs. "The first years may be slightly more expensive, also because of the purchase of smartphones, but after that you are ready for a few hundred euros per hectare and there is a user-friendly system. Our foreign employees can handle it well."

Fast service for large and small businesses
The system is also used in flowers. A Dutch alstroemeria grower comments: "The ProCC system could be tailor-made for us so that we can now also follow the production per section. We therefore have a very clear insight into all the work going on within the company, and that's exactly what we wanted. And that's why we can respond quickly when we discover a mistake." Sadik: "With this 1-hectare customer, I am at least as happy as with the 30-hectare horticulturist, because our system is meant for this. We calculate the cost price per hectare per year, which makes it possible for smaller growers to have good software. All our customers can count on 24/7 personal service. Any faults must be resolved as quickly as possible, because a crop is not a machine that you can switch off. It continues to grow and produce and everything you lack in registering this process is a gap in your data, which has consequences for the completeness and reliability of your data."

This year ProCC can also be found at HortiContact. You can find them at stand I133.
