June 19, West Chicago

US (IL): Dozens of new varieties at Darwin Perennials Day

Each June, for the annual Darwin Perennials Day, the breeder opens its zone 5 perennial trial gardens to see the products you grow in action. There will be dozens of new varieties from Darwin Perennials and Kieft Seed on display, as well as overwintered trials of several key and trending perennial crops.

Besides a first-look at what’s new, you can meet more than 30 perennial suppliers, who will answer questions on efficient business and key sales timelines.

You can also discover the latest and greatest perennial trends through the guest speakers. This year Darwin welcomes Richard G. Hawke, the plant evaluation manager of the Chicago Botanic Garden. He’s spent decades trialing perennials to determine the best garden plants for the Upper Midwest and areas with similar climatic conditions.

You can sign up at the Darwin Perennials Day website and RSVP your visit.
