Royal FloraHolland rolls out new flower bucket

The new multi-use flower bucket Fc588 and its rack Fc598 was brought into use on 11 March 2019. Filled with the product Lisianthus, the first transactions have taken place.

Due to the increasing use of CC containers in the export trade and the transaction reduction for international customers, the trade requires a different multi-use flower bucket. Royal FloraHolland responds to this with this newly developed flower packaging.

Edwin Beekman (Managing Director Hamifleurs) is enthusiastic: "We are very happy that this new packaging was brought into use. This way, we can increase efficiency within the chain, especially on CC containers. This results in more sustainable transport to our customers. There will be logistic advantages both for us and for our customers."

Advantages
With its smarter dimensions compared to the current Fc577, the Fc588 offers:

  • Higher load level:
    • +50% on CC containers (6 instead of 4 buckets per layer).
    • +11% on trolleys and cage carts (10 instead of 9 buckets per layer).
  • Lower chain costs
  • Lessened CO2 emissions
