Alexandra Farms announces eight new varieties of fresh cut garden roses

Alexandra Farms, one of the world’s largest grower of fresh cut garden roses, announces the latest additions to their collections.

David Austin English Garden Roses
Among the new releases are three varieties belonging to the David Austin brand. Earlier this year, creamy white Ella (Auswagsy) and Eugenie (Ausimage), a white garden rose with a touch of blush apricot in the center, were previewed internationally at the IPM Essen trade fair. They are joined by Effie (Ausgray), a creamy white variety with inner tones of yellow, apricot and orange.

Princess Japanese Garden Roses
Several of the new introductions hail from Japan; two of these are royals. Princess Hitomi (Beautiful History) is cotton-candy pink, with inner petals rolled into hearts and outer petals forming starry points. Princess Meiko (Prosperous) is dressed in rounded, layered petals in vivid pink.

Wabara Garden Roses
From the Wabara line of Japanese garden roses, bred by master breeder Ken Kunieda of Rose Farm Keiji, come Hiyori, in blush colors from shell pink to pure white; the refined, elegant Misaki, in cool pink and white; and Shilabe, pure white with an inner touch of vanilla.

"Alexandra Farms is continually searching for varieties worthy of a welcome into our family of fragrant, romantic cut roses for weddings and everyday enjoyment. No rose will be accepted that does not meet the minimum standard of a 10-day vase life after it has been nurtured, harvested, carefully packaged and shipped under the expert care of our team in Bogotá, Colombia."
