Green Fits All. This theme encourages Plantarium participants to seek cooperation with companies and authorities outside the sector. That way green will provide opportunities for growth. By producing as energy neutral as possible, companies will take steps to a greener world. AllPlant accomplished important innovations to achieve this aim and is always looking for new innovations and developments.
Within a few months AllPlant will be connected to the biomass heating grid from bio power station HVC, Alkmaar. The efficiency burner will only be used as back-up facility in case of emergency. The whole building will be heated on the residual heat from bio power station HVC. Because of this innovation AllPlant can be counted as one of the ‘most green’ companies with young plants in Europe.
Sustainable solutions
The innovative greenhouse complex of AllPlant is located in greenhouse area Alton. The greenhouse was build in line with the requirements for the Groen Label Kas certificate. Which means the greenhouse meets the strict environmental requirements.
Rain water is used for irrigation of the plants, the water is subsequently collected again and recycled. In the greenhouse complex the latest techniques are used and combined on a smart and innovative manner. The greenhouse complex is almost energy neutral and an ideal breeding place for young plants.
Great grow & work environment
With all new innovations the company gets greener and it has a positive effect on plants and people. By achieving new techniques the growing and breeding of the plants are optimized. Also on people the new innovations has a positive effect. It creates a pleasant working environment. By deploying the new greenhouse director Simon Gootjes noticed the positive effects: ‘we noticed already that this works pleasantly for people and plant. The communication is better, we have more view on the company and we can regulate the climate better for our plants.’.
Natural growing
By adding natural preparations to the soil, the plants will get stronger against diseases and molds. The healthier the plant, less plant protection products needed. AllPlant has the aim to grow plants entirely naturally without using any chemicals. With a MPS-A-certificate an environmental-friendly production of flowers, plants and plant nursery products is being encouraged. AllPlant satisfies the requirements of an A-qualification, which stands for the most environmental-friendly growing.
Growing & varieties
AllPlant specializes in growing, rooting and sale of young plants from tissue culture. Under sterile circumstances the plants will be reproduced in a laboratory and finally grow in the greenhouse. Within the assortment are more than 500 varieties, most perennials. Like winter hardy Geranium Rozanne, Anemone Fantasy Series, Heuchera Indian Summer Series and Echinacea SunSeekers.
