The 2019 Home Garden Conference will come to Zuchwil, Switzerland on 4-5 September. In addition to visiting Wyss Samen und Pflanzen with its extensive garden centre, trial ground and display garden with approx. 2,000 plant species on 25,000 m², the programme also foresees a visit to heritage garden Pro Specie Rara in Basel. The speakers' programme includes a company presentation from Wyss, an in-depth look at the green market in Switzerland, a presentation from retailer COOP focusing on the willingness of the customer to buy Bio products, and an insider's insight into cannabis production and the role of horticulture.
Within the framework of the '2019, Year of the Tropaeolum' campaign, Fleuroselect will be organising an optional visit on 3 September to the island of Mainau (approx. 2 hrs from Wyss), whose gardeners have agreed to plant out a full Nasturtium trial consisting of 85 varieties.
The team at Wyss, supported by Robert Wacker of Media Concept Schweiz, is putting together this programme. The invitation with full programme and travel recommendations will follow in April.
