This morning Flower Expo Ukraine was officially opened by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Mr. Ed Hoeks and his spouse; Mrs. Odilia de Ranitz, Honorary President of Flower Expo Ukraine; Maryna Kinakh, The President of the Flower Council of Ukraine; Mrs. Iryna Slobodyanyuk and the Managing Director of Nova Exhibitions; Mr. Kuno Jacobs.

This year the exhibition marks its 13th edition and welcomes more than 90 companies from 7 countries.
Visitors were already lining up this morning to enter the exhibition, the organisers have seen a huge increase in online visitor registration, underlining that the interest from the Ukrainian market is at an undiminished high level.

Baptism of the Gerbera novelty Lady Mara
The exhibition was the perfect opportunity to create attention for the baptism of the Gerbera novelty Lady Mara. Right after the official opening of Flower Expo Ukraine, Florist Holland, Bilat Handel GmbH and the organization of the Flower Expo organized a baptism ceremony where this new Gerbera variety is presented and named after Maryna Kinakh.

Maryna is a public figure, an honoured journalist of Ukraine and a curator of several social projects. On top of that she is an important ambassador for the Horticultural industry in Ukraine.
