The majority of Alcomij's steel structures are designed and produced on a project basis for various locations worldwide. In order to continue to meet the ever-increasing demand for high-quality (customized) substructure constructions, Alcomij has recently expanded its own steel department with the Adige LT8.10 tube laser.
The fully automated tube laser contributes to the optimization of the production process, according to the developer and producer of cultivation systems, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The company produces steel greenhouse constructions, aluminum greenhouse roof, gable and heating systems, stacking trolleys and rolling containers. The smart software of the new machine ensures that the production process can be controlled directly from the engineer's desk and that error-prone manual operations are no longer needed. Fixed predefined control points contribute to an efficient and virtually error-free production process.
Fully automatic, customized steel constructions
Thanks to the speed and the smart versatile cutting head, the Adige LT 8.10 is a welcome addition to Alcomij's machinery. "It allows us to cut large volumes of steel in a fully automatic and efficient manner," according to Erik Schäfer (Sales Manager). "Something that, with the current scaling-up within the sector, provides a major advantage with regard to the planning of the total production process."
According to Schäfer, with this new tube laser Alcomij is ready for the future. "It is now even easier, in addition to the high-quality lightweight steel substructures for production greenhouses, to produce the more complex (custom-made) structures, such as those with multiple cultivation layers and for semi-closed greenhouses, quickly and efficiently," according to Erik.
