UK : Nursery raises £8500 for cancer charities

The Bransford Webbs Plant Company donates plants to St Richards Hospice for them to sell on behalf of the charity. Karen Jenkins, Propagation Supervisor, co-ordinates this with the hospice, and collects and delivers the plants in her own time. Since the beginning of 2017, the charity has raised over £8500 through the sale of these plants.

St Richards Hospice is an independent charity that helps people living with life limiting illnesses. They care for 3000 patients, loved ones and the bereaved each year in Worcestershire.

In addition to this, The Bransford Webbs Plant Company took part in The Stand Off to Cancer Bake Off at the end of March, raising over £130 from the cake sales.

“Fantastic news and a great achievement for a local hospice. Thanks must go to Karen for all her hard work”, commented Adrian Marskell, Managing Director. “Also to the rest of the staff for their generosity in our recent cake sale”.
