US (WV): FFA greenhouse blooming with plants and veggies

The Taylor County Future Farmers of America (FFA) Greenhouse is open for the season.

The greenhouse, which is located off Riverside Drive, behind the Grafton High School, offers a wide variety of flowers, vegetables and herbs for sale.

“There were 85 students that started working to grow plants in the greenhouse in February,” FFA Advisor Steve Tennant shared. “The money from the greenhouse will be used for FFA activities and for the greenhouse next year.”

Tennant shared that the greenhouse is an annual tradition at the school, and the students look forward to helping every year.

Not only did the students plant all the plants and vegetables they will also be working in the greenhouse throughout the day, tending to the plants and customers.
