As Mother’s Day rapidly approaches, it is extremely busy at Solo Plant in Yalova, the first phalaenopsis grower in Turkey. The employees at the grower are working tirelessly to ensure to fulfill the high demand in the market. The grower notes that their products were able to reduce the market’s dependency on imported phalaenopsis.
Speaking to the press, Solo Plant sales representative Mergul Besgul said: “We have received a lot of orders for Mother’s Day but still the amount ordered is 30 % lower compared to last year. We are growing 2.5 million phalaenopsis plants annually and we are planning to expand it in the near future. Phalaenopsis is a very graceful product which makes it a perfect gift for mothers. It represents love.”
The products of Solo Plant is not only sold in Istanbul, the closest major market to Yalova but also across all the retailers in Turkey.
