The show plants from the Europe Spring Trials of ABZ Seeds found a good destination this year again. Only once a year can garden enthusiasts from Andijk and surrounding areas shop to their heart's content at the strawberry breeding company. The proceeds went to two associations from the area.
The annual plant sale on the first Saturday of May at the ABZ Seeds company has become a phenomenon. At half past nine the first strawberry lovers were already queueing up in front of the gate in Andijk. At ten o'clock the sale finally started. Especially Delizz plants in large 19 cm jars with lots of strawberries, flew over the counter like hotcakes.
930 euro for Wings of Change
The amount raised by this plant sale was impressive and was presented in the form of two checks to the local association Oranje Comité Grootebroek and Bovenkarspel and to the Wings of Change foundation in Andijk. For the employees of ABZ Seeds it was again a pleasure to be able to do something for all those volunteers who are so active in the region.
