Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association is looking for dynamic, experienced speakers to present education sessions at a two-day education conference in January 2020.
ONLA’s Coffee and Credits is a new event designed for green industry professionals who primarily need continuing education and certification credits. The event will take place January 13–14, 2020 at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North in Worthington, Ohio.
The conference will include 40 concurrent, one-hour education sessions. Education tracks include:
- Plant ID, plant care, new selections
- Landscape design & maintenance
- Retail and grower operations
- Pest and disease diagnostics and control
The ideal speaker will offer a fresh take on the typical conference session. Information should be tailored to the green industry audience. Content driven by current and emerging trends or new research is preferred.
Proposed education sessions can include lectures or TED-style presentations, panel or roundtable discussions, or participatory learning, such as hands-on workshops, interactive programs, or guided assessments.
Sessions must qualify for continuing education credits from top accreditation organizations (e.g. LA CES, ISA, APLD, ODA, AOLP, IA, ICPI, CIT, NALP).
Individuals interested in speaking at the event can find out more information and submit a proposal online at onla.org/presenters. ONLA will review proposal and select speakers on an ongoing basis beginning in June, 2019.
