Ethiopian Cargo sent 4,700 tons of fresh flowers for Mother's Day

Ethiopian Cargo and logistics services transported more than 4,700 tons of fresh flowers from Addis to the Europe, Asia, Middle east and America specifically to Liege, second cargo Hub and Brussels during International Mother’s Day.

During the last three weeks before Mother’s Day the demand of flowers increased close to 5%.

In addition, Ethiopia is the second top flower exporting country from Africa due to the support of Ethiopian airlines strong northbound freighter & PAX (20% of the demand has protected by belly hold capacity) networks. Ethiopian airlines have transported around 22% of flower demand on Africa-Europe lane (source: World ACD; Apr’18-Mar’19).

Ethiopian Cargo& Logistic Services, Africa’s largest network cargo operator and multi-award winner has been once again crowned with ‘2019 Best Cargo Airline–Africa ’Award at the Air Cargo News Awards ceremony held on April 26, 2019 in London, UK.
