35 years of passion for roses

"We breed roses and don’t work with other cultures," says rose breeder Rosa Eskelund from Roses Forever.

"We have decided several years ago to focus on what we are really good at, rose breeding and selection.

“But roses range widely, so we have a wide range both within the groups and in the different series. Among other things, it can be mentioned that we are currently developing on four groups of roses: Pot roses, Garden roses, Cut roses and Edible roses.

"For each of these four groups, we have series that we are constantly upgrading and expanding. Here, for example, within the pot roses group, the ‘Infinity’ series with its large, long-lasting flowers can be mentioned. Or the ‘Love Forever’ series of bright colors, and ‘I am Different’ with its unique ‘never seen before’ roses. And the latest novelty: The fragrant ‘Love Fragrance Forever’ roses, which currently have three varieties ready to offer”.

Infinity roses in mix box hits

Infinity doubles
The Infinity Rose series has been completed with all colors, even with two reds to choose from: King of Infinity, the Gold winner from Moscow last year, and the new Infinity Red with well-shaped flowers.

Now there are 8 different Infinity to choose from

But the latest is Infinity varieties, which are even more compact and extraordinarily add 3 buds per branch. So far, the white has succeeded.

Infinity Double Up

"We work intensively on several colors in the ‘Double Up’ series, as we call it. It will take some years but will succeed with a little luck”.

Summer is the time for garden roses
“The summer we spend in the various rose fields and rose parks; we have about 500 garden rose varieties in the test and they must be selected on beauty. Then in September, it is again selected; this time on health and resistance, which is an important parameter, along with the scent and the plant's suitability for potting.

"Several bestsellers with fragrance have been sent to the market. Both Inger Forever, Royal Diva, and Our Last Summer are hits in Scandinavia, but we are currently experiencing inquiries from both Germany, Poland and the Netherlands."
