In Goght, Armenia at an altitude of 1700m above sea level 11 million Dutch roses are being harvested every year. Their 10.5ha greenhouse in which 25 varieties of these roses are grown was established in 2014, thanks to Ameriabank's funding. And expansion plans are in the pipeline. "We have an extra 15 ha of growth potential for which we are currently negotiating with potential buyers for finding markets and of course discussing the possibilities of funding with our partner bank Ameriabank. One of the markets they are eager to enter is Western Europe."
In this video posted by Ameriabank's Youtube channel, you can get a peek at RosArts Greenhouse which is based in the Armenian Highland, which is according to the CDO of the company, one of the best locations to grow Dutch roses. "grown here they are even more exquisite than those grown in the Netherlands. The stem is longer, they blossom larger and are longer-lasting. "
