Bower & Branch is excited to welcome two new executives to their leadership team, Brian Gerhart and Michael O’Hara. This month, the e-commerce startup announced Brian Gerhart as Chief Operations Officer. An accomplished executive and entrepreneur, Brian will lead the development and execution of short-and long-term growth strategies.

Michael O’Hara was announced as Chief Strategic Officer, overseeing strategy, finance and marketing. A leader in both marketing and technology, O’Hara will oversee finance, planning, development, and execution of multiple marketing objectives.
“I’m extremely excited about the successful foundation laid by Don Eaton (Founder) and Bower & Branch’s first mover opportunity to become a major disrupter in the horticultural eCommerce space,” he says.
About Brian Gerhart
Brian Gerhart is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with over 27 years of experience in the petroleum industry. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions and has a proven track record in operations, IT, sales, and marketing. Prior to accepting his role with Bower & Branch, Brian served as Corporate Vice President at Lucknow-Highspire Terminals, establishing it as a stand-alone operating entity after the merger of Pyramid and Gulf Oil. Other previous positions include Corporate Vice President at Pyramid, where he oversaw sales and operations. He also served as Corporate Vice President and CIO at Worley and Obetz, Vice President of Business Development at Gulf Oil, and COO at Amerigreen Renewable Fuels. Brian has experience running startups to well-established companies with $2.5 billion in revenue. Brian has a BA in Business Administration from Cambridge State University with a concentration in marketing.

Michael O’Hara’s broad experience as a C-level technology, marketing, and operations leader spans three decades. In past years, Michael served as a fractional and full time COO, CMO, or CEO as Principal of oharaCXO. He worked with global and domestic companies to scale revenues, run marketing, raise capital, build teams, and re-engineer businesses. During this period, he served as CEO for TechnologyAdvice in Nashville, COO at Leadnomics in Philadelphia, and EVP/Division President for EducationDynamics in Hoboken. Michael has both re-engineered and started numerous companies, with revenues ranging from startup to $7 billion annually. Michael has held notable senior management positions: CMO for Pep Boys and Silo, Inc., Chief Operating Officer for The Princeton Packet, and former President/Publisher of the New York Press. Additional roles include Founder and President of Tomato Media and CEO of 3DPipeline, XMPie, 3Path, and bla-bla.com. Michael has a degree in Advertising & Graphic Technology from Colorado Mountain College and Business Marketing at Colorado State University.
