The 2019 Farwest Show, August 21-23, in Portland, Oregon will conduct a series of free live mini-sessions with special interest for greenhouse growers at the Solution Center on the Oregon Convention Center show floor. The informative sessions take place each day during the show. Topics covered will give greenhouse professionals knowledge and solutions for more productive and efficient operations.

In power-packed 30-minute sessions, industry experts with greenhouse expertise will talk about subjects including biocontrol, human resource, plant trends, current industry research, and much more.

Solution Center mini-sessions are free to attendees and located on the show floor at the end of aisle 10000. The series begins at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21 and runs the course of the show with the final talk at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23. The talks are designed to give attendees an educational reprieve from the busy show floor.

Talks, pesticide recertification seminars in Spanish
The 2019 Farwest Show will offer Spanish-speaking attendees a slate of informative seminars in the Spanish language, with many of the sessions qualifying for pesticide recertification credit hours. Led by industry experts, the seminars for green industry business owners, partners and employees will be presented in Spanish or through an interpreter. The Farwest Show has arranged for many of these sessions to discuss pesticide practices so they will count for credit towards pesticide recertification credentials.

To access the pesticide seminars, the Farwest show has two pass options. The three-day pesticide class pass offers seven hours of pesticide recertification credit, and the one-day pesticide class pass will earn an attendee two credit hours on Wednesday and Friday and three hours on Thursday. Each pesticide pass holder will also be able to access the Spanish-only seminars. Seminar presenters will discuss sanitation, pathogen spread, pest identification, bio-controls, weed management, boxwood blight, and bio-product compatibility. In addition to pesticide classes, one other valuable seminar is scheduled touching on the role mentorship plays in realizing full potential.

Registration for the course offerings is required and available online at https://farwestshow.com/register/
