Van Schie Potlelies becomes Van Schie

Since the summer of 2018, the pot chrysanthemum Chrysanne Grandezza has been added to the assortment. Reason for Van Schie Potlelies to change the name of the company and to choose a new corporate identity.

"Van Schie Potlelies now stands for more than just lilies. Given the name recognition in the market, it was decided not to implement a rigorous name change, but to go for short, powerful and recognizable."

Van Schie Potlelies has in more than 30 years built up a name as a specialist in the field of pot lilies. Even though the history of the company goes back to 1920. Nearly 80 years ago, Wim van Schie Sr. started growing grapes, vegetables and flowers. The company was handed from father to son twice. Flowers that were grown were tulips, amaryllis and irises. In 1985 Wim van Schie, the 3rd generation, started pioneering in the field of pot lilies. The 500 m2 pot lilies grew over the years to 5 hectares.

Fourth generation
Since 2008 the company is being run by the fourth generation: Martin van Schie and son-in-law Marcel van der Voort. Together with an enthusiastic team, exclusive pot lilies are grown, which find their way through numerous channels to the living rooms, terraces and balconies in the various countries of Europe and beyond. And from the summer of 2018 pot chrysanthemums as well.

At the company, adjustments have been made to optimize the cultivation conditions and processing methods of this pot chrysanthemum for the higher segment and to fit it in together with the preparation and delivery of pot lilies. The Chrysanne has become a fixed value in the product range.

Van Schie continues to supply the majority of its products under the quality label Decorum, here nothing will change.
