Brunei's International Flower Show (BIFS) 2019, scheduled on Oct. 23-27, is drawing exhibitors from China, Thailand and Vietnam as well as from local companies, a senior Brunei official said on Saturday. It will feature flower exhibitions, creative landscaping, workshops, activities and competitions.
According to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Hj Kamarudzaman, with the theme "Brunei in Bloom," the inaugural Brunei International Flower Show aims to highlight and provide an avenue to showcase Brunei's floriculture industry and to provide another tourism product for horticulture enthusiasts and visitors to look forward to in Brunei every year.
The five-day event will include various activities located around the vicinity of the Horticulture Business Centre. Over 100 varieties of locally grown and imported plants and flowers will also be on sale during the period.
