The Farwest Show is seeking speakers to present educational seminars during the 2020 event, August 26–28 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
Farwest, produced by the Oregon Association of Nurseries (OAN), offers more than 40 hours of seminars led by industry experts from across the nation each year. The comprehensive education program inspires and informs retailers, wholesale growers, pesticide applicators, landscape designers, arborists and other professionals about the latest topics impacting the nursery industry.
Individuals or organizations wishing to share their advice, research, processes, standards, or other relevant information with like-minded colleagues are invited to submit a seminar proposal to the Farwest Show. All presenters and topics are reviewed by the OAN education committee before approval. Sessions will be selected based on their timeliness, ingenuity, and relevance to the green industry.
The majority of the sessions are one-hour and take place in meeting rooms at the Oregon Convention Center. Designed for personal and professional development, many sessions are eligible for continuing education credits for pesticide applicators, arborists, and landscape designers. Registration is required.
The 30-minute sessions at the Solution Center are free to attend and allow Farwest Show exhibitors and attendees to learn new insights as they explore the tradeshow floor. Complementing the main education program, there are session topics helpful to any audience.
