The Flower and Plant Show, the main trade event for the Turkish floriculture industry will be organized by Tarsus Turkey for the 12th time between November 12th and 14th in Istanbul. This expo is put together by the company in cooperation with the Turkish Ornamental Plants and Cut Flowers Association (SUSBİR).
This year, the expo is planned to have 30,000 square meter space for exhibitors and is one of the biggest trade fairs in floriculture in the Middle East. The fair will be attended by most prominent growers in the country in addition to the participants from abroad.
The fair features a diverse range of exhibitors from ornamental plant growers to outdoor plant growers, from cut flower growers to grower suppliers, from seed and seedling producers to innovative firms with vertical garden products.
Tarsus Turkey Fair Director Mustafa Gultekin: “The industry creates directly or indirectly nearly 500.000 jobs. In the last few years, our growers have become more export-oriented. As a result, our expo functions now more as a gateway to reach foreign buyers. We have re-arranged our preparations in order to fulfill this need of the growers. Last year we had professional visitors from 48 different countries who came and met with Turkish growers. This way we have assisted our exhibitors to create additional business. We hope this year’s fair will be able to create a similar added-value for our exhibitors.”
