UK: Final call for scholarship applications

With just one week left to apply for a horticultural scholarship, the David Colegrave Foundation (DCF) is urging students to take advantage of available funding.

DCF has awarded almost £100,000 over the past ten years towards study tours, work placements, college tuition, accommodation fees, books, equipment, and extra training courses.

This year there are seven scholarships to apply for including three travel opportunities:

  • Majestic Trees is offering up to £3,000 to fund a placement abroad at a tree nursery to learn about tree production, plus the opportunity for a work placement at Majestic Trees.
  • The Markham-Colegrave International Scholarship is offering $4,500 USD for a work placement in the US/Canada to experience production horticulture.
  • Ball Colegrave is offering £1,500 to support knowledge and experience in bedding plant production and marketing with the opportunity for travel across the UK and Europe.

Colleges are encouraged to get on board and get their students applying.

Applications close at midnight on Friday 31 January 2020.
