50% of Royal FloraHolland suppliers add plant passport at plant level

With Valentine's Day on the horizon, it is rush hour at auction. Plants with a plant passport per plant have a competitive edge with many customers. That is why about 50% of Royal FloraHolland's suppliers already add the plant passport at plant level. From 1 July 2020, this will be mandatory for all plants with a pot size of 10 centimetres or larger.

Since December 14, the use of the plant passport is mandatory for plants from pot size 10. At tray level, this is already happening on a massive scale. At the start of this year, no less than 99.7% of the plants supplied to Royal FloraHolland were provided with a correct plant passport per tray. And there is also a rising trend at plant level. About 45 to 50% of suppliers use the plant passport per plant for plants from pot size 10.

From 1 July 2020, this will also be enforced within Royal FloraHolland: this means all plants from pot size 10 must be provided with a valid plant passport at plant level.
