Floriday has been around for 2.5 years. Numerous functions such as direct sales, clock presales and the creation of a delivery note for the clock have been rolled out. Two apps have also been launched in Floriday: Insights and Hortiheat. However, what exactly is the difference between the free Floriday platform and the Insights and Hortiheat apps?
What is Floriday?
Floriday is the free digital platform for Royal Floraholland members, suppliers and soon customers, too. With Floriday, growers manage their stock, offerings and orders with ease in a single system. It enables you to trade in different sales channels, such as direct sales, clock presales and the clock. In other words, you manage your commercial activities in Floriday. You can do so on the Floriday screen or via the link to your own software package.
So, what are the apps?
In addition to the commercial activities supported in Floriday, the platform also offers space for support apps such as Insights and Hortiheat. These apps have been developed by other parties, separately from Floriday, and have their own support, communication and revenue models. These may be services offered by Royal Floraholland or other external organisations such as software suppliers or logistics parties. As a Floriday user, you decide yourself whether you want to use an app. You can add the app to your Floriday profile after agreeing to the terms and conditions of the app you wish to use.
Which apps are currently available in Floriday?
Insights and Hortiheat are the first two apps for growers.
Insights is a paid data app, developed by Royal Floraholland’s data team. This app gives growers insight into their own clock and direct data, as well as the clock data of other product groups. It allows growers to compare themselves with other clock growers in the same auction group. Insights is thus replacing Floranext. A subscription is needed in order to be able to use Insights. This subscription can be cancelled each month.
The HortiHeat app is an app that helps growers to reach buyers more quickly and easily with targeted offers. With HortiHeat, you can promote products by creating your own offers. Buyers can directly place an order based on these offers, which becomes immediately visible in Floriday. The app is currently offered free of charge and is developed by software company JEM-id.
Both apps have their own developers, support and communication. It is separate from the Floriday platform.
