United Selections open days for the 1st Quarter 2020

Globally, the flower industry is very dynamic and everything keeps changing rapidly. As such, there’s a need for constant communication and exchange of feedback amongst all the stakeholders along the chain. It’s through this basic principle that United Selections, a premier rose breeder initiated an open-door policy where their global facilities are always open for all clients and relations throughout the year.

United Selections aims at breeding a colourful future. And a colourful future in not only their core product – roses, but definitely also in terms of a peaceful, respectful and sustainable future. According to the company, this is what you see and recognize in all events and meetings where they are participating.

Furthermore, the company has special days where they invite people to their facilities. During these open days, they are able to interact with their clients at a personal level to collect feedback as well as introduce new varieties based on the market demand.

Here’s an overview of their open day events during the 1st quarter of 2020:

January: Nakuru Open Day, Kenya (Nakuru Showhouse)
This open day focused on their latest spray product line which according to the company was received very well. United Selections explains that this was mainly due to standing out and breeding special kind of spray roses with big head sizes and magical opening.

In addition to this, the breeder inaugurated their new solar power plant in a bid to go green with their operations.

February: Naivasha Open Day, Kenya (Flower Business Park)
In February, the company had their focus on intermediate roses and low altitude assortment whose popularity is on the rise yet again. Their new varieties which included Miss Mardi, Kick Off, Pink Nature, Snow White, Yellow Sunburst, and Madam Pink were received well – an indication of demand for this type of assortment.

March: Denmar Open House, Ecuador
Next week, they will be hosting their last open day event of the quarter at Denmar Cayambe, Ecuador. According to the company, they will present, besides their proven varieties such as Finally, Lighthouse, and Confidential, their new additions to their Latin America’s assortment. The new varieties include; Whitehouse, Vesper, and Brickhouse and last but not least some spectacular new codes.

  • Date: Wednesday, 18th and Thursday, 19 March 2020.
  • Hour: from 9:00 am to 3 pm.
