Tesco and Lidl are giving away free flowers to NHS workers on Mother’s Day to say thanks for all their hard work during the coronavirus epidemic.
Tesco gave away the free blooms during its one-hour slot for NHS workers on March 22.
The supermarket is currently allowing only NHS staff to shop during its first hour of trade every Sunday.
Meanwhile, Lidl has announced similar action by saying it'd donate thousands of bunches of flowers to NHS workers and charities.
The surplus blooms would be sent directly from supply chains to local community groups nationwide.
They'd also be handed out at Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital to NHS staff at the end of their shifts.
