Mr. Sangappa Thangadi of Belgavi 
is a progressive farmer who ventured into the floriculture business in 2018 with Gerbera cultivation. His production and quality was excellent and he was satisfied with his decision. However; his well managed Gerbera greenhouse was destroyed during the floods in Northern Karnataka & Western Maharashtra region. For one whole month; the Gerbera greenhouse was submerged in water. When the situation got better; the plants were washed off along with bed material. The massive investment was gone in water.

After the flood, when the plot was recovered.
A proverb “God helps those who help themselves” was well proven by Mr. Sangappa! Being a hardcore farmer; he stood up with all the zeal and passion and re-planted Gerberas again after clearing the whole mess in the greenhouse. KF Bioplants supported the re-plantation done by our farmers subsidizing the plant price for flood affected plantations. The technical team of KF Bioplants; under supervision of Mr. Sachin Shelar (Area Manager), visited these projects to ensure healthy cultivation practices in the greenhouses.
