US (GA): Green industry is essential under shelter-in-place order

Governor Kemp of Georgia declared that he would sign an Executive Order for a state-wide ‘shelter-in-place’ to take effect on Friday, April 3, 2020, and end on Monday, April 13, 2020. Industry members have shared their numerous sincere concerns about the impacts of the Executive Order on businesses, employees, and customers.

Since the announcement, GGIA has been closely monitoring the developments as they come about. The Green Industry in Georgia remains essential under the Governor’s Executive Order, which includes the adoption of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security CISA Guidelines issued on March 29, 2020, and revised on March 28, 2020.

GGIA urges everyone to follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing, practice good hygiene, and avoid direct contact with others. "While these sacrifices may seem steep, they are relatively small when we consider the greater good. We must remember, we have been given the most excellent opportunity to work and grow together as we face and conquer the challenges before us", they say.
