Colombia's floral industry featured on CNN

"Losing Mother's Day will affect the company the rest of the year"

In a episode of CNN, Colombia's floral industry was featured. Like many other flower producing countries, the growers in this country are hit hard by the COVID-19 outbreak. CNN's Stefano Pozzebon reports from Bogota, where he visited rose farm Flores Las Acacias to the impact of the low demand on the company and how they are dealing with the virus. Also Augusto Solano of Asocolflores is being interviewed and he tells that everyone wants to see how the markets are going to open and especially the US. Over the last weeks, many growers had to discard their flowers, but not all flowers are going to waste as several bouquets are being donated to the front line workers. See the full video below.
