This year marks the eighth British Flowers Week - a national celebration of the wealth and variety of all things British flowers, foliage and plants and the amazing people behind them. This year the theme for British Flowers Week will be 'Healing'.
How to get involved
For the first time, this year New Covent Garden Market is calling on the public and businesses to get involved by creating their own British Flowers Week' windows. This could be anything as simple and stunning as a single stem or a pretty bouquet picked from a garden of your own, or sourced from one of the many UK suppliers. Take a look at www.britishflowersweek.co.uk for window decorating ideas and a list of suppliers.
There are also two ready-to-print British Flowers Week' window notes to download which you can display in the window. One of these allows you to dedicate your creation to others. Download them here and here.
At Flowers from the Farm, they’d also love you to join in the celebrations and share your photos on facebook, instagram etc using hashtags #BritishFlowersWeek #NewCoventGardenMarket and tagging @MarketFlowers and @flowersfromthefarm.
Where you can source British Flowers
New Covent Garden Flower Market is re-opening its doors to the public on the same day as British Flowers Week begins.
You can also find your local flower grower on the Flowers from the Farm map.
