Home office work and radiation fear increased the demand of succulents in Turkey

A lot of companies have switched to home office work with the Covid-19 outbreak in Turkey. As many people moved to their homes and worked extensively on their phones, the radiation levels became a concern for people. In order to battle the increasing radiation levels, Turkish consumers are purchasing succulents that are reportedly absorbing the radiation nearby.

Speaking to the press, Doctor Bugra Buyrukcu noted that all the plants have an absorbing effect on radiation due to photosynthesis however succulents are much more effective in that regard. However, he also added that not all the succulents have a similar effect and the succulents should be big and old in order to provide effective cover against radiation.

There are more than 150 varieties of succulents available in the Turkish market and succulents are known for being the easiest plants to take care of.
