Danish International Eurovision Song Contest Winner of 2013, Emmelie de Forest, got a garden rose named after her and the song she won the contest with. Emmelie de Forest Forever Plant’n’relax Syn. ‘Only Teardrops' is the name of this new floribunda rose, bred by Danish roses breeder Rosa Eskelund of Roses Forever, who has been working on the rose for over the last 10 years. “I think this rose is perfect, it suits Emmelie, it is a delicate looking rose to look at, but inside it is very strong, healthy and resistant”, she says.

Emmelie de Forest baptized the rose on Saturday 25th of July in the rose city Mariager, In her speech, she mentioned that she is very honored that this beauty gets her name and now will be grown and planted in gardens all around the world.

Also Rosa is pleased that this new introduction will carry one of the (in total 3) Danish Eurovision Song Contest winners. “I am so happy that one of our best varieties is named after this girl who won the contrast at the young age of only 20, in 2013.“
