"We do everything we can to ensure that all aspects of our operation are as sustainable as possible: cultivation with respect for the planet," explains manager Koen van Koppen. He thinks that the Greenovation Award is a great way to put sustainable products in the spotlight. "In this way, Royal FloraHolland really stimulates making our sector more sustainable."
Koen: "More and more companies claim that they are 'sustainable'. This award is a way of showing the world who really does operate sustainably. By participating in the Greenovation Award, we showed the whole floriculture industry that we were introducing the first orchid without plastic. It gave a huge boost to the introduction."
