Kenya: Naivasha Horticultural Fair 2020 receives the official go-ahead

Naivasha Horticultural Fair 2020 received the official go-ahead and is about to take place next month. "Yesterday, we were given permission from the government that we hold Naivasha Horticultural Fair 2020 on Nov 20th and 21st this year", says Richard McGonnell, Chairman of the fair.

Preparations are in full swing as this outdoor event will start in just 6 weeks. So, what about COVID-19? "Kenya has had relatively low numbers of Corona infections, and this is baffling the WHO", explains McGonnell. "The event is held outdoors at the Sports Club, which is a large site and we will therefore not be standing on each other’s toes. Of course we will still be observing Corona protocol etc, but it will be great to see everyone again, and a huge mount of interest from old and new customer."

Some visitors from overseas may not visit, due to their own countries problems with the pandemic, but all the “international” companies are represented in Kenya. "They are represented by their own directors or with other companies/agents in Kenya."

The organization expects approximately 150 stands (+ the charity stands). Currently, 80 are booked already and if you are interested in exhibiting at this fair, get in touch with the organization to reserve a spot.

All profits go to Charity and McGonnell stresses the old African proverb: “If you do not plan for the future you have no future planned.”
