Flowerhub has launched country of origin flag labelling in both their trade and consumer online flower markets making it the first in industry to take this important step.
“The Australian industry is in a period of self assessment currently & it is a great time for innovation and progress. Rather than wait for government legislation to be created we prefer to continue to innovate our way here at Flowerhub,” says the online flower market creator, Nicki Christensen.
“We’re a proud to lead the Australian flower industry from our home base here in Logan City, in Queensland. We see the value of empowering the buyer with as much knowledge as we can. I’ve had the country of origin flags idea for over 12 months now and I have been hopeful we would lead the industry by implementing it. I’m ecstatic to report we have done just that. Country of origin labelling is a much-needed boost to buyer confidence and would also continue to reinforce the hard-working local flower growers of Australia that we already support.”
Flowerhub's platform now has over 1,000 registered users and currently sends products into the eastern states of Australia 6 days a week. Located at Carlyle St, Slacks Creek Flowerhub employs local teens and staff from the Logan Area.
