Philippines: With no buyers around, flowers at Dangwa wilt

The sale of flowers to observe All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day has slowed in Dangwa, Manila, because of an oversupply, a report from ABS-CBN News said on Wednesday.

Last year, there were several buyers who had been buying the flowers from Dangwa days before the observance of the two annual holidays.

ABS-CBN News said the prices at Dangwa were as follows: Orchids, P600 [12.40 USD] per bundle of four dozen; Malaysian Mums, P100 [2 USD] per dozen, which was P150 to P180 [3.10-3.70 USD] before; Baby’s Breath, P200 [4.15 USD] per kilo; Anthurium (red), P350 [7.25 USD] per bundle of one dozen; and Anthurium (white) P250 [5.15 USD] per dozen.
