Florna Plants has operated out of its present location since 2016 and now supplies a broad range of UK plant retailers.
These include a number of national multiple garden plant retailers in the supermarket and DIY sectors. In addition, Florna Plants also supply many major UK Garden Centre Groups with their broad range of plant material.
Pack & pot bedding
Florna Plants supply a mixture of plants in various sizes including pack bedding with pot bedding in sizes from 10.5cm up to 5ltrs. They also provide a USP in the area of Hanging baskets and pre-planted containers.
Another recent development is their new grow, supply, pack & dispatch operation to a handful of on-line retailers.
Strong demand for pansy & viola packs
Commenting on the current season, Ian Howard from Florna Plants said “Autumn started early (late July) with 10.5cm Mini Cyclamen selling well. Pansy & Viola packs also saw strong demand and early Primroses followed similarly.”
“An Autumn foliage pot bedding range which included Grasses, Ferns and Heucheras was well received by retailers. This combined with the autumn flowering Bellis – ‘Bam Bam’ and F1 Dianthus to provide a nice choice of colours.”
Christmas range
“Ready made containers and baskets planted in autumnal themes proved as popular as ever and a good selection of smaller zinc and rattan planted arrangements continued right through autumn. We are now moving into our Christmas range with themed planters and large 3ltr Cyclamen.”
