"We wanted everybody in Europe, when looking for some garden product to find it in one place. So we started to gather database,” says Stefan Rusenov, one of the creators of eugardens.eu, an European Garden Business Directory. This online directory for consumers was launched two years ago and is presenting companies that are connected to the garden business, like nurseries, garden centres, landscape designers, garden tools producers, garden furniture, et and so on as well as popular garden fairs/exhibitions and the most famous gardens and parks in Europe. Currently, they have 417 companies in their database and 214,000 registered users and both number are – particularly during the pandemic – rising every day.
The platform
The idea of the platform is to collect everything connected to the garden business in Europe in one place. “Gardeners can check and use it to search for and find European suppliers of products and services for their garden. The companies are listed in 41 different categories. “We tried to make as easy as possible to navigate in our portal. On the left hand side we placed the garden categories, and on the right hand side the countries. Later on demand of our subscribers we added also region. So now for example if a citizen of Florence is looking for a plant nursery, he can choose first category "nurseries", then Italy and them to filter finally choosing region: Tuscany.”

How to enter the platform as a company?
So, the platform is mainly focused on reaching the end consumer directly. So, how to gain access to this platform “If you are a company with activity, connected to gardening in Europe or in the rest of the world. You can register your company in “company registration” or send the site us an email (info@eugardens.eu) with your web address and we will do the registration for you.” The listing is payable: 20 Euro per one year ahead. “In this way your company will become known to more than 214 000 registered users for the time being of our portal. In addition, you can also advertise your garden products in the product catalogue in our site.”
