Colviveros launches B2B Conecta platform in the context of the first Digital Business Matchmaking Forum

Colombian nurseries go digital

The Association of Colombian Nurseries, Colviveros, announced the launch of the B2B Conecta platform in the context of the first Digital Business Matchmaking Forum which will be held, with the support of the Colombian Ministry of Agriculture on November 12 and 13, 2020. The innovative digital business tool, created by the OPF organization in México, will offer the possibility of holding business meetings, generating access to distribution channels, and prospecting for clients and suppliers in Colombia and in the world.

Jairo Cadavid, president of Colviveros, pointed out that "this new commercial tool, whose mainly focused is the so-called “green industry” has high potential for other segments of the Colombian national agriculture". The Trade Association leader indicated that the platform makes business encounters possible between clients and providers by locating customers through digitally displayed products. Once a customer shows interest in a specific product by clicking on its Contact the producer button, the business process begins. The parties involved can now generate conversations through an internal chat, send emails, and schedule virtual meetings within the platform itself.

At the same time, the president of Colviveros added that thanks to this digital platform the Trade Association will connect producers supply and potential demand directly for two days, so each participant will get to know the innovations, capabilities, trends and news in the live plant and ornamental segment during the first Digital Business Matchmaking Forum. “We will bring together the nursery segment with suppliers of agro-inputs, new plant varieties and large buyers, with whom we seek to advance and develop negotiations that benefit the sector as a whole. Hand in hand with the Ministry of Agriculture, we have identified new channels in "Supermarkets", new digital channels and real estate companies with which it is possible to establish not only commercial contacts, but also generate anticipated sales, in such a way that nurserymen have the possibility to access the incentives of the Juntos por el Campo Program, which provides loans with low interest rates to agricultural companies”, said the representative of the Nursery Association.

With the Digital Business Forum and the launch of B2B Conecta Colviveros will bring together the nursery and ornamental production value chain in the country. The project is supported on a Web platform and a downloadable App for Android and IOS, which are aligned with all international protocols and rules for data use.
