Fratelli Simonato started paying attention to organic cultivation and issues related to ecological sustainability more 20 years ago. This has led to the innovative solutions in the field of packaging. After Bio Kepos 3, an entirely eco-friendly packaging, there is now also a totally plastic-free packaging called Bio & Paper Pack.
Rosanna Bertoldin and Carlo Simonato.
"The new plastic-free packaging is made of water-repellent paper and is therefore very suitable for storing herbs. The pot holder, which is intended to be displayed at points of sale, is made from recycled cardboard and is naturally colored, which makes it ideal to be used in contact with food," said Carlo Simonato and Rosanna Bertoldin of the family business Fratelli Simonato.
Fratelli Simonato has been operating on the market for twenty years with its high-quality herbs, which are completely organic. The pandemic challenged the work organization, but the rules are respected and in line with the distance measures required by the the law.

"We have shifted our focus to the consumers' needs and set a new distribution plan. Unfortunately, this happened because of the coronavirus situation, but it is necessary. Customers can order their herbs over the phone and the herbs are then delivered to their homes," said marketing managers Rosanna Bertoldin and Belinda Piasentin.
"By filling in the request form on our website, www.simonato.com, or by calling us directly, 049-9125935, the herbs can be ordered and then delivered to their doorstep in packages of six".
Fratelli Simonato has a wide range of herbs that are grown during different periods of the year. A particular type of hot chilli pepper, which is medium-to-high spicy in taste, is grown all year round.
"Purity, spirituality and authenticity are the values found in our herbs. Everything is grown according to the strict procedures of the organic method. We believe that this is the only way to guarantee the consumer a healthy crop".
This year the company once again has grown organic poinsettias. These are cultivated in greenhouses and available in pots of 10, 12 and 14 centimeters. In addition, there are also 20-centimeter pots that consist of two or three poinsettias.
"We have decided to use the organic method for growing poinsettias, which once again shows that we find it important to respect nature".
