Relative newcomer of the American rose scene, Brindabella Purple Prince of Suntory Flowers has won a second award for landscape performance. First was a Local Artist Award from American Rose Trials for Sustainability (A.R.T.S.) for performance in the Upper Midwest and Northeast. Now, Purple Prince has captured a Regional Choice Award from American Garden Rose Selections (AGRS), with winning scores in the Northeast, South Central and Southwest regions.
AGRS is a national testing program that recognizes roses that are easy to care for, disease resistant and suitable for different regions of the country. All roses are tested for two years in six different geographical regions. In order to receive an award, the variety must perform in at least three of the six regions entered.
