Indian florists celebrate Ghabad Shasti

On Friday 20th November, in the Hindu month of Kartik, sixth day is being celebrated by all 27 wholesale flower vendors and florists in the newly started flower market this year in Pimpri, Pune (India).

All flower vendors and florists are very busy selling and decorating for others shops and offices in Deepavali for 4 days including Laxmi pooja day (goddess of wealth), therefore florists celebrate it post Deepavali.

This is a tradition for years all over Maharastra state. All vendors decorate their shops with traditional loose flowers and cut flowers. They worship their books of accounts and weighing machines, and pray for the goddess Laxmi to bless all their employees, customers and themselves, distribute sweets and bonuses to all employees with high enthusiasm and joy the whole day.

Owner of Om Flowers Keshav Tribhuvan decorated the shop of President of the wholesale Flower Market Raju More. Wholesalers, retail shops and even flower growers they decorate their shop to attract viewers.
